Our Northern Route points toward Venice with multiple stops in this 3-night adventure. We invite you to be as active or as relaxed as you desire. This cruise is especially appealing to our guests who prefer social distancing with brief interludes with the “masses.”
We’ll visit Cayo Costa Island for a relaxing lunch anchoring in Pelican Bay to reach Cayo Costa State Park and beach. We then sail into the Gulf of Mexico approx 30 miles north to Venice. We’ll anchor inside the Venice Inlet near Roberts Bay and enjoy a sunset dinner and some star-gazing. Venice, named one of the top two “happiest seaside towns in America”, will unfold before you with two days to explore a number of venues for shelling, shopping, dining, entertainment or just stay aboard and relish the Venice waterfront and active marine community happenings from the yacht. Highlights include Caspersen Beach (shark tooth hunting), Venice Beach, Sharkey’s on the Pier, the Daiquiri Deck, The Crow’s Nest, Rip’s Sports Bar and the Tap and Cork. Our final leg (day trip) leads us back to the Gulf for a 4-hour sail to Charlotte Harbor or a winding/wandering motor down the Intracoastal Waterway to experience the natural beauty of Florida’s Gulf Coast. We’ll stop briefly at Boca Grande’s Gasparilla Island State Park to visit the historic lighthouse before sailing on to Burnt Store Marina.
