This is your opportunity to “test only” for the SLC if you are ready to demonstrate your competence:
E-Learning and virtual sailing using NauticEd’s Bareboat Charter Master Rank Bundle of courses, tools and resources is required before chartering for this testing event. This is a 5-night/6-day intense testing period aboard our luxury vessel with all-inclusive service. Prior to chartering with us, you may take as long as you like to complete your NauticEd Sailing Theory courses (included). For your SLC Express Experience charter, assessment and testing are conducted 9 AM to 6 PM daily. Evenings are self-study and instructor assisted review/Q&A along with time to relax. The SLC Express Experience is best suited for the busy professional, or accomplished sailor, who is comfortable with self-paced E-Learning with their own resources to log prerequisite sailing time. This is our least expensive and shortest SLC opportunity.
The SLC is an internationally recognized certificate reflecting your competence as an accomplished sailor. Testing standards are performance-based and pass/fail. Candidates must pass all rubric-based assessment tasks to receive the SLC during this charter.
Prequalification Requirements: NauticEd registration; at least 45 logged days of sailing, 20 of which must be as master of the vessel; completed a minimum of 40 hours of international sailing theory education and testing – namely, the NauticEd Bareboat Charter Master Bundle of courses (below); taken a separate and independent 100-question test to verify your theory knowledge and hold a valid national government boating endorsed license.
