So I had an idea…I run across many cruising threads in my virtual travels discussing ways to deter thieves and I wonder…will it happen to us? Call me anal-retentive on the subject of safety and security – must be

Convenient (no hassle) transport is an interesting habit to change. We down-sized in FEB by gifting our Jeep to our oldest son (he was ecstatic). We did it again this past week by shipping the new Mazda to our retirement villa in Florida (our land-base). All that is left is the RIB, 2 folding bikes and an aluminum dock cart – although these are pretty neat toys and work well for us…especially since we had our “motorcycle mechanic/engineer” son put a 2-stroke motor on one of them in exchange for the Jeep gift.

We mark our very first post with a little background and history. Since we purchased SV Take Me There in late 2012, we spent a year learning and shaking down the boat. We have invested lots of time and energy in making her our own. Many upgrades, changes for both convenience and to support a live-aboard lifestyle, as well as the never-ending maintenance necessary to keep a big boat healthy, clean and safe was our primary goal. Mission accomplished!
