SV Take Me There is a 1975 Gulfstar M53 - A 53ft Ketch rigged, full keeled cruiser. She is well kept, surveyed, documented, insured and registered and fully loaded with the off-shore gadgets. Drawing just under 5 ft - she is a center-cockpit, fiberglass hulled, bluewater cruising platform...well powered by a John Deere 360 (turbo) diesel with a 16KW diesel generator. She has 3-berths, 2-full heads (with separate showers), large salon, dinette, full galley, washer/dryer and full nav station and engine room. Her sail plan (63ft mast height) includes 130 Genoa, fully battened main, partially battened mizzen and an asymmetric spinnaker (with whisker) with spares aboard. Electronics include Garmin plotters and radar, sonar, AIS, VHF, SSB, Ultra-sonic Anti-fouling units, SAT-TV, WIFI, Bluetooth and Inmarsat. Solar and wind generation are also aboard. She is a weatherly boat and loves a good stiff breeze.
